A contractor that was impressed with Laidlaw’s professionalism called on the company again to undertake a project at one of the UK’s oldest public schools.
When building and civil engineering contractor Stepnell was appointed to lead the new build at Ruthin School in Denbighshire, Wales, it specified a Laidlaw handrail and balustrade for the £1.8m accommodation block.
The Laidlaw team recommended one of its newest products: 5mm thick polyester-powder coated (PPC) slatted infills in pure white. These complemented the sleek and modern handrail, which comprised 40mm brushed stainless steel and oak combination balustrades. It was completed with concrete fixings, which achieve a 0.74kn category loading.
